Narika is another figure I’ve wanted for a while, and will continue to want in the future. Due to a mixup at Toyslogic I will not be receiving my Narika figure.
Narika was released in August 2009 and I’d long missed the pre-order. Turns out there was still stock at Toyslogic so I quickly ordered her from there without any other searching around.
She’s 1/8th scale, 20 cm tall, retailed for ¥7,800 / $91 CAD and should arrive at my door step soon!
Update: So it turns out that Toyslogic did NOT have stock of Narika.For some reason Toyslogic wasn’t aware they didn’t have stock and processed my order in the usual manner. Upon charging me for my order I assumed they were also shipping Narika. However after the average number of days passed that a shipment usually takes to arrive from Toyslogic I began to wonder. I emailed Toyslogic requesting more info such as a tracking number as one was never given. It was at this point that they finally told me that the item wasn’t in stock due to a stock shortage and that I would be refunded the money. So it would seem there’s no Narika for me anywhere for a reasonable price, such a shame.

Ah good ol’ US based companies and their lack of accurate stock inventory…I actually have a figure on order from a US site myself thats taking a very long time…Probably turn out to have the same problem as you Aka. >__>
Hopefully you can find her somewhere else Aka as she is a fine example of Alter craftsmanship for sure!
They do tend to get the short end of the stick those US companies. But they certainly don’t help themselves by not keeping track of things properly either.
I haven’t managed to find anything yet, and with all the figures I’ve seen coming out of wonfes already, I’m thinking I’m going to break the bank pretty soon.
Hey Aka, sorry to hear about your issue with the ordering. I was so envious that you were actually to find one in stock at ToysLogic. When I checked (after seeing your post here) ToysLogic, it was marked Sold Out already.
I searched around and this happened to me too with another online retailer.
They e-mailed me and said they were no longer to source this Narika figure and Alter won’t be producing any more (at least at the moment). I’m not sure if that’s true or not. I’ve seen some on Japanese sites, but they don’t ship internationally. Some other places have the prices marked up by more than 100% already. Boo! lol
I was so happy I’d managed to as well. It’s too bad that I’ll have to resort to Mandarake, eBay and MFC sales to try and find Narika, usually means either open box, or high prices.
Narika was released back in August of ‘09, she’s long out of production by now, I don’t expect a re-release of her either. I’m not sure if Alter does re-releases or not, Kotobukiya and Good Smile Company do. We can hope I guess.
Alter very very rarely ever re-releases sadly…Considering they can barely keep up with current releases probably don’t even have the ability to re-release…
Well keep at it Aka hopefully you’ll stumble across one that isn’t a giant rip-off!
I figured that was the case, but I can hope. She doesn’t seem like a popular enough character for a re-release though.
