Review: Good Smile Company’s Misaka Mikoto

Good Smile Company's simplistic Misaka Mikoto figure arrived a week and a half ago and I have to say, I'm a little underwhelmed. But there are some external factors at work here. more »

It feels like it's been forever since I sat down and wrote a review of a figure I actually owned. Last week of course I wrote many single paragraphs about many different figures but this week it's back to business. more »

Likely the last Orchid Seed figure I'll buy for quite some time, and not through much fault of Kawai Ameri here and more to do with Orchid's Corti and their upcoming figures. more »

Review: Chara-Ani’s Himari

I'll be blunt, I bought Himari for her bum, there's no more reason than that. Viewing the promoshots I was enamored by the shape of it and how the combination of her catlike pose, looking back at you as you admired and her seeming willingness to show it off, well I couldn't help myself. How did she fare beyond her derrière, was my impulse to buy based on the gluteous maximus a sound decision? more »

When I first saw this figure at one of the many events she had been on display at I knew I wanted her and wished Good Smile Company would hurry up and release her. Eventually they did and for a heafty sum, but I jumped on her anyway, the decision had already been made days or weeks or months prior. Such a simple looking figure, such a high price tag, what gives? more »

Review: Kaiyodo’s Neko Peke

Today we have the ever abused Neko Peke from Mahou Shoujo Neko X though there appear to be some inconsistencies with this name. Unlike Peke's master, Yamamoto Yamato, I will refrain from abusing this poor girl further and will instead provide her with a wonderful and loving home. Some say he's tsundere for her, but some how it just comes off as tremendously violent when he's involved. more »

The 5th and last figure in Kotobukiya's 1/6th line of Evangelion figures... or so I thought. When I ordered Mari here I thought she was the end of the line, more »

Got an oldie for ya today from a time when I thought figure collecting was far too expensive a hobby to get in to, back when the Canadian dollar would get you ¥101 and a figure would cost a measly ¥4,750. What on earth was I thinking? Now I only get ¥86 to the Canadian Dollar and figures cost ¥9,800! more »
